Ceragon Awarded a $1.5 Million Contract in Eastern Africa

September 25, 2008

TEL AVIV, Israel, September 25, 2008 - Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: CRNT), a
leading provider of high-capacity wireless backhaul solutions, today announced that its leading
edge wireless trunk solution, FibeAir 3200T, was selected by a leading telecom operator in
Eastern Africa. The FibeAir 3200T solution will be used for ultra-high-capacity links that will
support nationwide transmission of voice and data services. The deal, worth over $1.5 million,
was initiated and carried out by one of Ceragon’s strategic resellers.

The FibeAir 3200T long haul trunk solution provides high capacity connectivity using
multiple STM-1, OC-3, FE or Gigabit Ethernet. This unique solution utilizes a single hardware
design to support all indoor and split-mount installations, enabling the deployment of voice and
data services for rapidly growing networks. The current deployment in Eastern Africa comprises a
number of links built in 9+1 configuration (9xSTM1 with a single STM1 protection).

“The growth potential for point-to-point microwave backhaul solutions in Africa is very
high,” says Emmy Johnson, Founder & Principal Analyst, Sky Light Research. “Africa is for the
most part an unwired continent, so wireless solutions have very little wireline competition. In
addition, wireless networks give operators the ability to provide mobile coverage more rapidly and
across vast areas, whereas fixed solutions are often limited to certain districts of the major cities.”

“We are pleased to expand our footprint in Africa and gain additional market share with
our advanced trunk solution,” said Ira Palti, President and CEO of Ceragon Networks. “There is
only a handful of companies on the market today that can implement full 9+1 wireless links. Our
ability to successfully do so time after time is a major competitive advantage.”
