Learn why 5GHz solutions can no longer ensure service quality

Short-range wireless links enable Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to satisfy connectivity requirements while avoiding the high cost of deploying fiber-based solutions or leased lines. Such solutions include license-exempt 5GHz solutions, which offer a cost-effective, high-capacity, single-time investment that is widely available and easy to manage.

In theory, license-exempt 5GHz solutions can accommodate bi-directional traffic of up to 700Mbps. However, as they gained popularity and their user base grew, so did the level of interference.

As a result, ever-growing capacity requirements and congestion have caused 5GHz solutions to become less reliable – and this means that your customer’s quality of service may be compromised, and you may soon find yourself with lots of frustrated customers.
